Matarial laboratory of CPTM
The material laboratory is equipped with modern devices for the execution of structural tests on plastic, metallic, and composite materials.
The RINA (Italian Naval Registry) certification, obtained in 2013 and maintained until today, allows CPTM to conduct all the tests necessary for the approvation of materials for their use in the nautical sector.
STATIC UNIVERSAL TESTING MACHINE (250 kN)
The static universal testing machine Galdabini Quasar 250 kN, calibrated according to the normative UNI EN ISO 7500/1, is able to execute both tensile and compression tests. The machine is currently certified by RINA for the following tests:
– Tensile strength (EN ISO 527)
– Flexural strength (EN ISO 14125)
– Shear strength (ASTM D732)
– In-plane shear strength (ASTM D3846)
– Compression strenght (ASTM D695)

IZOD/CHARPY IMPACT TEST MACHINE
AMSE XJF-50 J pendolum for the determination of the impact resistance and the resilience of plastic and composite materials, up to energies of 50 J. The instrument can perform test impact with both methods charpy (EN ISO 179, ASTM D6110) and izod (EN ISO 180, ASTM D256, ASTM D4812).
DUROMETER HARDNESS TESTING (SHORE A/D)
Durometer hardness testing for the hardness determination of rubbers and elastomers (Shore A), thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers (Shore D) (ASTM D2240, EN ISO 868, DIN 53505).
